Save the Planet
An idea that can change the world
The idea that was proposed by the President in his news conference on Oct. 11, 2001, has the potential to change the world.
He urged every school child in America to go out and earn one dollar to use to aid the orphaned and hurting children in Afghanistan.
That is a fabulous beginning. And money is already pouring in from children around the country.
Make a good thing better
Just imagine the impact this idea could have if it were done every year.
Imagine how good children will feel knowing that they have helped children who are hurting somewhere in the world.
Can you picture what these children will be like when they grow up... after having invested one day every year giving of themselves to help children in need somewhere in the world?
This could become a habit that will stay with them the rest of their life.
It can transform the planet.
It can being about a whole new way of thinking.
Take action today
Change comes about one person at a time.
You are one person.
If you will make a commitment, you can help to change the world... for the better.
Start now, in your own family, in your own community, in a local school. Encourage everybody to get behind this project.
Get your own children to go out and earn $1... or more... and use it to help other children who need help.
And let's work to make this a permanent, annual project. It could be done during the month of October, with Oct. 11 being the target date. It will be easy to remember: The proposal came on Oct. 11, exactly one month after the senseless attack and murder of innocent civilians from 60 countries, who worked in the World Trade Center.
Your action plan:
*Begin now by raising money for the initial effort.
*Encourage the establishment of an annual effort of children giving of themselves to help children somewhere in the world, who are hurting.
*Remember those 10 little 2-letter words: If it is to be, it is up to me.
Thank you.
